More than one hundred thousand rubles will have to pay to the Russians who are stuck in South Africa after the discovery in the country of a new strain of COVID-19 called Omicron, Izvestia reports with reference to tourists.

According to one of the tourists, the Russian Consulate has already started compiling lists of Russians, but all the costs of return home will fall on their shoulders. In particular, according to the tourist, the cost of the ticket for the evacuation flight will be 111 thousand rubles.

Recall, following the discovery of a new strain of coronavirus in South Africa, many countries have suspended air links with the African state. Russia was among them.
