More than 6,000 Russians went abroad to get vaccinated against COVID-19. They spent about 310 million rubles on such tours, Association of Tour Operators of Russia reported.
Vaccination tours for Russians have been available since September. It is possible to get vaccinated in Serbia, Croatia, Greece, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Germany, and Armenia. Tour operators receive each week from 20 to 100 applications from people who want to get vaccinated abroad.
Most often Russians went to Croatia, where they can get vaccinated with different drugs for free - Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca.
Serbia is also popular. Pfizer, AstraZeneca, and Sinopharm are available there. The third country is Bulgaria, where you can be vaccinated with Pfizer and one-component Johnson & Johnson.
The Association of Tour Operators of Russia notes that Russians most often choose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which needs to be taken only once.
