Tourist flow from Russia to Europe has decreased almost maximally - by 90% in comparison with the pre-pandemic indicators. This was stated in the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, reports "Izvestia".

Vice-President for outbound tourism Artur Muradyan explained that one should not expect a change in the situation in the near future, as it is very difficult to obtain a visa, as well as an entry permit, usually designed only for the duration of the trip.

He added that some European countries continue to be loyal to Russian citizens. These are Greece, Italy, Spain and France.

It is noted that Russian tourists stopped traveling en masse in Europe after the EU canceled the agreement on simplified visa regime. This step was taken to limit direct contact with Russians.

On the other hand, foreigners began to come to Russia more often. The growth of the indicator in the first half of the year amounted to 130%.
