The demand for air travel to Thailand during the New Year holidays among Russian tourists has increased 8 times.
The main reason for this growth was the news that tourists vaccinated with the Russian Sputnik vaccine will be able to visit Thailand.
If in the first half of October only 17 tickets for the period of New Year holidays were sold, in the second half the carriers managed to sell 143 tickets.
"Demand is fueled by the news from the kingdom about the opening of a number of popular tourist destinations in Pattaya, Bangkok, etc. from November 1," - noted PR-director of Aviasales Janis Dzenis.
Most experts are confident that the positive trend will continue, and Russian tourists will continue to buy tickets to the recently opened Thailand.
On the days of winter holidays, the average check for a round-trip flight is 62 thousand rubles.
