Tourists have booked more than 50% of the mountain resorts of Sochi for the New Year holidays.
Mayor of Sochi Alexey Kopaygorodsky spoke about this in his Telegram channel.
“More than half of the number of rooms in the mountain cluster has already been booked. During the holidays, we plan to receive about 250 thousand guests,” the functionary noted.
He also noted that it will be important to maintain a decent level of service, while not violating the rules that help control the epidemiological situation in Russia.
In particular, it is planned to introduce the processing of cable car cabins in Sochi. At the same time, the authorities are not going to suspend their work in order to carry out the relevant operations.
Also, for the period of the invasion of tourists, restraints will be installed, which will force people to maintain social distance.
"30 winter beaches have been opened, more than 35 objects of tourist display are operating in the city all year round. Here we will also strengthen sanitation, control of the mask regime," Kopaigorodsky added.
