Thai authorities are trying to get more airports to accommodate foreign tourists.
So, the airport Betong, which will receive travelers in the southernmost province of Thailand - Yala, January 29 has already received the first passenger plane. Next month its work will be resumed in full format.
Thai authorities believe that through the work of the airport will expand the list of tourist offers, respectively, local businesses will be able to earn more. Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand has already issued a certificate and license for the operation of Betong airport.
Now the Ministry of Transport of Thailand is negotiating with commercial airlines, discussing the conditions of flights to the new airport.
Recall that in Thailand continues to operate a program for the entry of tourists "Sandbox". Thus, Russian tourists vaccinated with "Sputnik V" may enter provinces with low level of coronavirus infection. They have to undergo a seven-day quarantine in a special hotel with a SHA+ sign. Upon arrival one must take a PCR test and wait for the result at the hotel. If it is negative, the tourist can travel around the region.
