A team from Russia won the Brazilian robot soccer championship

The Open Robotics Football Championship ended in Brazil.

According to the press service of MIPT, Starkit teams from Russia won the Open Robot Football Championship, which was held in Brazil at the Centro Universitário da FEI.

It is reported that Russian teams won in two categories: Humanoid League (robots between 40 and 90 cm in height) and Standard Platform League, which assumes participation of the same robots, but allows the use of different software.

The Starkit team has never conceded a goal in the Humanoid League and defeated the robots from Brazil 6:0 in the finals. In the Standard Platform League category, the Russian team won the final 10:1.

It is reported that the Russian delegation in Brazil was headed by Egor Davydenko, PhD, who is a leading researcher in the laboratory of wave processes and control systems.
