Vladimir Voronov, coach of the Russian sportsman Fedor Emelianenko, passed away. The MMA fighter wrote about this on the morning of August 29 in his Instagram account.
According to Emelianenko, not only was Vladimir Voronov a demanding mentor, he also was a member of the family. He trained a mixed martial arts fighter from the age of 10.
Voronov trained many other successful sportsmen, except for Emelianenko. They performed in MMA, won the championships of Russia and the world in sambo.
“Match TV” reports that 55-year-old Vladimir Voronov died due to complications caused by coronavirus.
He spent a week in the intensive care unit of the hospital in Abakan, was on a lung ventilator.
