Belarusian tennis player Arina Sobolenko won the Australian Open, defeating Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan in the final. The final match lasted almost two and a half hours and ended in three sets.
Sobolenko, 24, won the WTA title for the 12th time in her career and for the first time in Grand Slam singles tournaments. The Belarusian athlete has reached the semifinals of Wimbledon and the US Open to her credit. At the Australian Open she reached only the fourth round.
