Russian sets NHL record for goals

Russian hockey player who plays for Tampa, Nikita Kucherov, set a new record for the most pucks scored in the National Hockey League (NHL) in a season by scoring in a game against Boston.

"Tampa" won 3-1, and Kucherov scored his 42nd puck this season, breaking his own personal record. He scored 41 goals in the 2018/19 season.

In the current NHL season, the Russian forward has played 71 games, noting 42 goals and 82 assists. Kucherov is leading in the race of scorers of the season in the NHL. Colorado forward Nathan MacKinnon is in second place with 123 points (45+78), and Edmonton forward Connor McDavid with 119 points (26+93) rounds out the top three. New York Rangers' Russian forward Artemi Panarin is fourth on the list of the season's top scorers (43+59).

Tampa's next game will be against the Islanders on March 31. The meeting is scheduled for 2:00 Moscow time. The teams have already met twice this season and won one victory each.

Earlier, Alexander Ovechkin interrupted his own goal series in the NHL, and also the Russian won the game with the first racket of the world and entered the 1/4 of the "Masters".
