In the final match of the Australian Open, Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev met Italian tennis player Yannick Cinner. The match lasted for three hours and 46 minutes, and after five sets (6:3, 6:3, 4:6, 4:6, 3:6) the victory went to the Russian opponent.
For Cinner, the victory was his first at a Grand Slam tournament. For his part, Medvedev suffered his third defeat in the final. Before that, he managed to reach the final stage in 2021 and 2022.
