Next year, Russia's first innovation cluster specializing in video games and animation will start operating in Skolkovo. The opening of the new center was confirmed by Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin.
As the mayor specified in his blog, the cluster will be located in the business center “Stratos” on Nikola Tesla Street, 1c1, on an area of about 40 thousand square meters, and will occupy five floors. The cluster provides conditions for the development of video games of any type and complexity, as well as the provision of high-tech equipment for start-up companies and animation studios. So far, more than 40 companies have expressed their intention to join the project.
The cluster will include a motion capture studio, a sound recording studio, a movie theater and a training area for young professionals. These innovations should contribute to the development of the capital's IT industry, innovations in graphics, sound, artificial intelligence and virtual reality, as well as the creation of new jobs. The operator of the cluster support is appointed by the Agency of creative industries.
