Levitin noted the need to determine the terms of participation of each sports federation and to develop appropriate declarations for participation in the Olympics. This information is quoted by the Match TV channel.

Last December, President Putin called on the Ministry of Sport and the ROC to carefully analyse the requirements of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to the neutral status of Russian athletes and make an informed decision on their participation in the Games.

On 22 February, the ROC Commission for International Cooperation noted that many sports federations applied the IOC criteria to exclude the strongest Russian athletes.

After the ROC defeated an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) over the suspensions, they noted that the athletes' acceptance of even the IOC's current requirements could contradict Russian law.

According to the IOC criteria announced in December for participation in the Games, athletes must withdraw support for the military operation in Ukraine, end contracts with the army and special services, compete only in individual disciplines and be re-checked for eligibility.

The Olympic Games in Paris are scheduled for the period from 26 July to 11 August.

Earlier it became known what will be at the "Games of the future" in Kazan, as well as hockey player Ovechkin sets records in the NHL.
