The German Ski Sports Federation (DSV) has withdrawn its bid to host the competition due to financial reasons.

FIS ski racing race director Michal Lamplot said that the World Cup calendar for the next season has not yet been approved, it will be discussed at the spring meeting in Portoroz (Slovakia) on May 8, and after that will be presented to the FIS board for approval.

The sports official noted that a few weeks ago the DSV sent an official withdrawal of its bid to host the 2024/25 World Cup stage, while the federation will direct all efforts to hold the stage through the season. Lamplot added that according to his information it was financially related.

The stage in Germany will not be on the ski World Cup calendar for the first time in 24 years, xc-ski.de notes.
