CSKA basketball forward Semyon Antonov became the new captain of the Russian national team.
It is noted that his candidacy was proposed by the new coach of the national team Zoran Lukić. The players unanimously supported Antonov.
"Why Semyon? It's simple. Firstly, of the entire current team, he has the longest experience in the national team. Secondly, Antonov has a victorious experience with the Russian national team," Lukić said.
The specialist also said that Antonov received the captain's armband largely due to his human qualities.
"The attitude to business, the attitude to teammates, the formation of team chemistry. The choice was very simple. There was no doubt," added Lukić.
