Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola bid an emotional farewell to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, who played his last match as the team's coach on May 19.
At a press conference after the match, in which Guardiola's team became APL champions for the fourth consecutive time, the Spaniard said he will miss Klopp, who was his greatest rival not only in England but also in Germany.
“Jurgen Klopp was a really important part of my life. He took me to a new level as a coach. We have incredible respect for each other,” Guardiola said, adding that his biggest rival in his career is still sure to return.
Jurgen Klopp took charge of Liverpool in 2015 and in 9 years in the team the club became the champion of England, won the Cup and Super Cup of the country, the League Cup, as well as the Champions League and the UEFA Super Cup. In the middle of this season, the coach said that he was running out of strength and energy, in connection with which he plans to take a rest for at least a year.
