The Russian soccer team has risen to 33rd place in the updated FIFA rankings.
The Russian team currently has 1,497 points. This allowed the national team to climb from 37th to 33rd place in the list of the best national teams in the world.
Belgium remains in the lead, followed by Brazil and France.
England dropped to fifth place, just ahead of the French and Italians.
Recall that in October matches Valery Karpin's charges won two victories. First, Russia defeated Slovakia (1-0) in Kazan, and then in Maribor got the better of Slovenia (2-1).
At the moment Russia team is in first place in its qualifying group for the 2022 World Cup.
In November, the Russian team will play Cyprus at home and then travel to Croatia for a crucial match against the local team.
