Ronaldo shared that winning his 200th match for the national team was special for him. He said scoring the winning goal was the perfect ending to the game and an unforgettable moment.
"It was great and unforgettable, considering everything that was going on around the match," the forward said.
Ronaldo took the field in the fourth round of Euro 2024 qualifying on June 20 in a match between Portugal and Iceland. He scored in the 89th minute and brought the team to victory.
Before the game against the Icelanders, he was awarded a certificate by the Guinness Book of World Records as the player who set the record for the most games for the national team in history (197).
