The agency said Russia could not organize competitions due to RUSADA non-compliance.
In Montreal, during the meeting of the founders of the World Anti-Doping Agency, Director General Olivier Niggli said that the Russian Federation has no right to organize and host the World Friendship Games because RUSADA does not have the necessary compliance status.
He also complained that the organization of such a major sporting event is being handled by a federation that has been stripped of recognition by the International Olympic Committee.
"The Games will be organized by a country whose anti-doping system does not comply with the code. We will not be able to monitor this competition, the AIU will not be involved. Thus, the athletes will not be provided with a system of justice," Niggli said.
In addition, the IOC leadership earlier distributed among sports organizations of the world countries recommendations to ignore the upcoming World Friendship Games in Russia.
