In the last qualifying match for the European Youth Championship 2021, the Russian team was stronger than the Latvian team and secured a ticket to the final tournament.
The meeting, held in Latvia, ended with a score of 4:1 in favor of the wards of Mikhail Galaktionov. Konstantin Kuchaev, Roman Evgeniev, Daniil Lesovoy and Alexander Lomovitsky scored as part of the winning team. The hosts responded with a goal from Kristers Lusins.
Thus, the Russian "youth" took first place in her qualifying group, having gained 23 points. This allowed the Russian team to break into the final tournament of the European Championship 2021, which will be held next summer in Hungary and Slovenia.
