Azerbaijani footballer Alen Askerov was beaten in Moscow.
It is reported by TASS. According to the source, the incident occurred on the morning of November 5 near the Riga metro station. The 24-year-old athlete was hospitalized with a concussion and a closed head injury.
The player told law enforcement that he knows exactly who beat him. However, he refused to name the attacker and write a statement to the police.
At the moment, Askerov is in the status of a free agent. He plays in the FC Mordovia Saransk. The midfielder also played for the Croatian club Novigrad and the Azerbaijani club Gabala. In addition, he spent two matches for the youth team of Azerbaijan.
