Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe, 25, has accepted Usain Bolt's challenge to run the 100-meter race but admitted he has virtually no chance of winning.

The 37-year-old Jamaican track and field athlete, an 11-time world champion, said at the Laureus Awards in April that he would love to see himself “in his prime” in the 100 meters against Mbappe. The footballer replied that he would love to run with the distance record holder.

“It would be nice to do it for fun. Why not one day, if we have free time, have a run?", the 25-year-old Mbappe wondered.

The day after the soccer player's statement, such a race was held, but in a computer simulation, where, as expected, Usain Bolt won. His world record (9.59 seconds) was beyond the capabilities of Mbappe, who in the program ran 100 meters in 10.90 seconds.

As sports fans note, the “competition” between Mbappe and Bolt is a great reason to make an interesting sports bet. Thanks to such extraordinary events, sports predictions become even more interesting.

Earlier, PSG lost to Borussia Dortmund (1:0) in the semifinal match of the Champions League, after which the team left the stadium without forward Kylian Mbappe, who may move to another club this summer.
