Igor Levitin, an aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin, has responded to a question about the admission of athletes to participate in the 2024 Olympics.
In a comment to Life.ru, he emphasized that they will take part in the sporting event in a neutral status. However, at the moment, the exact number of athletes from the Russian Federation is not yet known.
Levitin emphasized that everything depends on how many Russia will select now, how many will have time to select. So far there are no estimates.
Earlier, the IOC recommended to admit Russian citizens to international competitions in a neutral status. Participation will be denied to those who openly supported the special operation, and those who represent security agencies.
Recall that the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation decided to establish a medal in honor of the 10th anniversary of the Games in Sochi.
