International organizations continue to arrange Cancel culture procedure for Russia and Belarus. This process also concerns sports.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has banned the national teams of Russia and Belarus from competing at the Asian Games. This is reported by TASS with reference to the IOC statement.
"At the Olympic Summit held in December 2022, the concept of participation of athletes from Russia and Belarus at the Asian Games in 2023 was discussed. Russia and Belarus will not be able to participate due to technical reasons," the IOC statement said.
The Asian Games will be held from September 23 to October 8 in Hangzhou, China. The Indian Express reported the day before that Russia and Belarus would not be allowed to participate in the Asian Games, where our teams could get Olympic licenses.
According to the Olympic Council of Asia, the body has not received permission from the IOC. It is noteworthy that the OCA offered Russia and Belarus to participate in the Asian Games at the end of January this year.
The publication Inside the Games reported in July that Russia and Belarus would take part in the Asian Games in China. If our teams participated in the Asian Games, they could qualify for the Olympics to be held in Paris.
