Chimrova won gold medal at the European Swimming Championships

Russian swimmer Svetlana Chimrova became the European short course champion at a distance of 200 meters butterfly.

In the final swim, the Russian athlete showed a time of 2 minutes 4.97 seconds.

Silver went to Helena Rosendahl Bach from Denmark, just 0.05 seconds behind the winner. Italy's Ilaria Bianchi (+0.46 seconds) finished third.

Recall that Chimrova is the 2018 European champion in the combined relay 4x100 meters.

The European Championship is held in Kazan and will last until November 7. At the moment, Russia is in the lead in the overall standings, having won 4 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals.
