French striker Kylian Mbappe, 25, has officially become a player of Real Madrid as a free agent, according to the press service of the Spanish team.
According to insider Fabrizio Romano, the former PSG forward, who got Real Madrid for free, has signed a contract until the summer of 2029. The player's salary has not been disclosed. Mbappe took his number 9, but will probably change it to 10 after the departure of Luka Modric. It was previously reported that Mbappe would receive a €100 million signing bonus for his move to Real Madrid.
“A dream come true. I am so happy and proud to join my dream club,” the Frenchman wrote on social media after the transfer was announced.
Many players rushed to congratulate Mbappe on his move to the King's Club. Even Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo wrote in a comment to the post that now it is Kylian who will light up the full Santiago Bernabeu.
Recall that Kylian Mbappe failed to agree on a new contract with PSG, after which he said goodbye to the club and left the club in the status of a free agent on June 30.
