36-year-old Russian hockey player Alexander Ovechkin is included in the list of the best athletes in the city of Washington.
The Sporting News has included the 36-year-old Russian hockey player of the Washington Capitals American club Alexander Ovechkin into the list of the best athletes in the city of Washington.
As part of the local hockey team, Ovechkin won the Stanley Cup. In addition, the Russian won nine times the prize as the best sniper of the regular championship of the National Hockey League and was recognized three times as the most valuable player in the NHL.
Washington City's Top Athletes list includes such stars as basketball player Wes Unseld, baseball player Walter Johnson and American football player Darrell Green.
