U.S. President Joe Biden said that gasoline prices in the U.S. are back to where they were before the February 24 special operation in Ukraine.
White House President Joe Biden tweeted that gasoline prices in the United States had fallen to February levels. They are now down $1.5 per gallon (3.79 liters) from a summer high, according to the president.
The head of state said this result meets one of his key commitments and will make life much easier for Americans. Biden pledged to continue working to lower prices.
In late March, Biden announced that the United States would release from its strategic national reserve one million barrels of oil per day for six months in order to reduce the price of gasoline in the country. According to Reuters, in the backdrop, America's strategic reserves fell to 434.1 million barrels in September, the lowest level in 38 years.
As of Nov. 11, oil reserves stood at about 392 million barrels.
