Nokas CMS will stop issuing cash through Nosto ATMs in Finland with China UnionPay cards starting October 3. The agreement to suspend the acceptance of bank cards has already been reached, reports the portal Yle.
The reason for this decision was the fact that citizens coming from Russia to Finland in a few hours emptying ATMs, withdrawing cash from their cards. The portal notes that one card can withdraw tens of thousands of euros.
The problem with ATMs was formed in the south-east of Finland, near the border crossings.
Recall, from September 30, Finland closes the border for tourists from Russia.
