Turkey approves emergency use of Sputnik V

Turkey has become the 63rd country to register Russian Sputnik V vaccine.

The Russian vaccine Sputnik V has been approved by the Turkish authorities for emergency use. This was reported by the Russian Direct Investment Fund.

The drug has undergone appropriate registration with the Turkish Ministry of Health, which was carried out in emergency mode. The RDIF added that Turkey became the 63rd country to approve the use of the domestic vaccine.

Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koça also confirmed the approval of the vaccine. He said that the approval for the emergency use of Sputnik V had been granted following a study.

Earlier, it was reported that the emergency use of Sputnik V had been approved in India.
