Krasnodar City Duma plans to rid the city of signs in foreign languages.
To this end, amendments were made to the City Beautification Rules, which have been in force since 2013.
Evgeny Naumov, the mayor of Krasnodar, believes that this measure will bring the architectural area of the regional capital to a single standard.
Signs in foreign languages, with the exception of registered trademarks, will be outside the law since September 1, 2023.
By the way, the initiator of this idea was the mayor Naumov. He considers names in foreign languages unpatriotic. According to the mayor of Krasnodar, in Washington or London you will not find 90% of signs in Russian.
