Russian actor and MP defrauded of 1 million roubles

Russian actor and State Duma deputy Dmitry Pevtsov has faced fraud, Telegram channel «112» reports.

Unknown attackers pretended to be representatives of the FSB and notified the artist about the possible threat of losing all his savings. In order to "secure" his funds, they were required to transfer a certain amount to a "safe account". As a result, the actor suffered damage in the amount of more than a million rubles. Dmitry Pevtsov appealed to the police, and a criminal case was launched under the article "Fraud in a particularly large scale".

In addition to this incident, with the actor held a preventive conversation aimed at preventing similar situations in the future and training on how to avoid falling into the traps of scammers in the network.

Earlier, scammers became more sophisticated in deceiving victims online with the help of QR codes, and the Federal Tax Service told about scams on its behalf.
