Swedish furniture and home goods manufacturer IKEA continues negotiations with potential buyers of its enterprises in Russia.
"Today IKEA representatives continue negotiations with potential buyers of the enterprises," said Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov in a conversation with TASS.
They have agreed to ensure the integrity of the sale process, including decisions not to disclose the composition of possible buyers.
According to the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, IKEA plans to come to an agreement with a buyer or buyers by the end of 2022.
Manturov reminded that consent of the Commission for Control over Foreign Investment in Russia and corresponding decision of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) would be required.
Earlier IKEA announced that by the beginning of 2023 it would choose one of four potential buyers to close the deal. The names of the companies, the amount of the deal and conditions were not specified.
