As part of the Healthy Society forum in the press center of the Russia Today MIA, the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova announced the start of production of the EpiVacCorona COVID-19 vaccine developed at the Vector center.
She noted that in order to protect against coronavirus infection, it is better to get vaccinated rather than endure the disease. The head of the department drew attention to the fact that the virus has not yet been fully studied, and its long-term consequences are also not known.
You always do not have to wear masks, Popova said, answering a question about the duration of the epidemic instructions of the department.
"I think we'll find ways to defend ourselves. Today we already have vaccines that can protect us, and we will stop walking in masks," the chief doctor concluded.
