A social stipend in the amount of the minimum wage may be introduced for mothers and fathers of pre-school children studying in higher educational establishments. Such a proposal has been made by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science.
The ministry noted that the payment will be included in the national project "Family". Its implementation will begin on January 1 next year.
The agency has sent a proposal to the Ministry of Labor on the appointment of a monthly social scholarship to mothers (fathers) with a child (children), TASS reports.
At the same time, 452 Russian universities already pay financial aid to women who gave birth to a child during the period of study. 347 universities provide financial support to single parents, mothers or fathers.
