One more enterprise will now be able to produce the first Russian Sputnik V vaccine against coronavirus. The Ministry of Health allowed the company «Generium» to do this, the press service of the department said.
Before the list of drug manufacturers was expanded, the “Medgamal” branch at the Gamaleya Research Institute and “Binnopharm” had permission to produce Sputnik V.
The Ministry of Health said that expanding of the vaccine-producing companies’ list is a very important stage in the fight against COVID-19.
Since the capacity will become more, the production volumes of the drug will increase. It means that it will be possible to vaccinate more Russians against coronavirus.
We remind that Sputnik V is now undergoing registration studies. When the vaccine is tested on 40 thousand volunteers, its widespread use will begin.
