According to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, in May there were about 9.8 thousand applications for Finnish visas from Russians, in June - about 12.3 thousand, and by July 24 - about 15.6 thousand applications.
With the abolition of covid-restrictions in Russia, the number of applications has increased dramatically. "Since then, the visa centers in St. Petersburg and Moscow have been completely full," Liukkonen noted. According to her, 1,187 applications were submitted last Saturday, the highest number for July.
