Vaccination with AstraZeneca started in Ukraine on Wednesday. The first doctor in Cherkasy region has already received the vaccine. The start of immunization was scheduled for 15 February, but has been postponed due to problems with vaccine supplies by Pfizer and BioNTech.

The first Ukrainian to receive a dose of the vaccine was an intensivist from Cherkasy Region, the head of the regional administration, Oleksandra Skychko, said. He added that the vaccinated doctor works in a COVID unit of the hospital.
