The American company Microsoft intends to continue cutting business in Russia until there is nothing left of it, the president of the corporation Brad Smith said.
“As far as Russia is concerned, we keep doing our business narrower and narrower until in the end there is almost nothing left, or nothing at all,” Microsoft President Smith said in an interview with the Washington Post.
At the same time, he said that Microsoft intends to support its employees in Russia.
On March 4, Microsoft announced its withdrawal from the Russian market, in particular the suspension of sales of products and services in Russia amid the events in Ukraine. At the beginning of the summer, the corporation announced in the media that it was reducing its operations in Russia and 400 Russian employees. Microsoft stressed that it would continue to fulfill its existing obligations to Russian customers.
