A bill allowing Russians to prohibit themselves from taking out loans and credits will be submitted to the State Duma. It will be possible to draw up on the portal "Gosuslugi". This was told in the press service of the Bank of Russia.
Last year, the regulator offered to introduce a similar mechanism. It will apply to all professional lenders, not just the bank where a person has an account. The special ban will need to be noted in the credit history. The self-ban will be automatically transferred to the credit history bureau.
The bill has already passed interdepartmental approval, was supported by the market and is being prepared for submission to the State Duma.
