The head of the party «Just Russia - For the truth» proposes to increase the MDOT immediately by more than twice. He stated that the minimum wage set by law should correspond to the real level of inflation.
The head of the party «Just Russia - For the truth» and a deputy of the State Duma Sergei Mironov has developed a bill according to which the minimum wage (MMR) should be set at 50 thousand rubles instead of the current 22,440 rubles. The Parliamentarian believes that the new wage standards can be implemented as early as 1 January 2026.
In an interview with a correspondent of RIA Novosti Mironov reported that 50,000 rubles is the salary level that will allow citizens to provide themselves with everything necessary. He believes that once in three years the prices in stores have increased significantly, then the SMIC should be raised. According to the law, the salary in Russia for a full rate cannot be lower than the SMIC.
It has been previously reported that Russians over 50 are harder to find work, and therefore they hide their age when seeking employment.
Deputy Bessarab stated that the State Duma will not consider the idea of imposing fines for photos showing alcohol next to children.
