European countries want to conduct space flights on their own

Representatives of the European Space Agency are developing options for manned space missions.

The European Space Agency is considering the possibility of starting independent manned space missions with the help of new rockets.

The representative of the agency, Daniel Neuenschwander, is aware that a decision on this issue will not be taken in a short time.

According to him, ESA will conduct several studies in the near future, including considering the topic of manned starts.

Neuenschwander did not establish specific deadlines, having noted only that "the sooner this happens, the better."

Now Europe is using Russian or American missiles to send its specialists into space. At the same time, ESA has experience in creating ATV cargo ships that have already flown to the International Space Station.

It is known that ESA faced financial problems in the development of its Ariane 6 rocket.
