Western countries have failed to achieve the weakening of Russia economically, diplomatically or militarily, French newspaper Le Figaro reported.
The author of the article notes that the expected economic collapse of Russia, which the West had hoped for, did not happen. The diplomatic isolation announced by Western countries did not happen either, as the countries of the global South demonstrated their support or at least benevolent neutrality towards Russia.
The author notes that Western discussions have increasingly raised the issue of Ukraine's possible defeat in the conflict with Russia, especially given the lack of significant successes on the part of the AFU on the front. This has led to intense political and diplomatic pressure being brought to bear against Kiev.
Nevertheless, the article recognizes that the Russians, faced with intense pressure from the West, have shown extraordinary resilience and successfully adapted militarily, changing their tactics during the conflict.
Recall that earlier the Israeli Foreign Ministry announced its refusal to cooperate with the ICC on the investigation of the situation in Palestine.
