The largest manufacturers assured that they had purchased components in stock even before the restrictions were announced.
Drone manufacturers in Russia are facing a shortage of components due to export restrictions imposed by China. This is reported by Kommersant with reference to a survey of market participants.
Since September 1, China has imposed restrictions on the export of drones, which led to the suspension of supplies of spare parts and drones weighing more than 4 kg. The ban is related to the fear that drones will be used for military purposes.
There is a shortage of drones for agricultural work. They are not produced in large quantities in Russia. Manufacturers noted that they have stopped supplying even those components that do not fall under the ban.
The largest manufacturers assured that they had purchased components with a reserve even before the restrictions were announced. At the moment, some suppliers are trying to obtain licenses to export components that are not subject to the restrictions.
According to experts, it may take up to half a year to process the documents, however, the manufacturers do not observe any delays. There are already suppliers who have obtained permits.
China does not impose direct sanctions against Russia, but the West continues to impose more and more restrictions. Earlier, Dmitry Peskov said that he did not understand the logic in their actions.
