One of the world's largest airlines, United Airlines, is bringing back a popular boarding method to speed up the process.

The carrier confirmed that its WILMA system is returning on Oct. 26 after trials at four domestic destinations and one hub. The study showed that the system cut boarding time by up to two minutes.

The airline confirmed that passengers who have booked multiple tickets in economy class will board in the same group. This is welcome news for families, as airlines in the U.S. continue to insist that families sit together.

Here's how boarding groups will be organized when the changes take effect later this month:

Pre-boarding: passengers with disabilities and unaccompanied minors, active duty military, Global Services members, families with children under the age of two and Premier 1K members.

The first three groups will be passengers participating in the airline's various programs. The third group includes window seats, emergency exit rows and non-commercial passengers. The fourth group will be middle seats and the fifth group will be aisle seats.

Group six will be basic economy class passengers on domestic flights and flights between the U.S. and the Caribbean or Central America (excluding Panama City and San Salvador).
