Ten-year-old blogger Bella Thomson from Canada has died as a result of a number of rare diseases.
The girl was known on TikTok as Bella Brave and won the hearts of millions of followers despite her rare medical conditions: dwarfism, severe combined immunodeficiency and Hirschprung's disease, which affected her intestines.
From birth to age two, Bella spent almost all of her time in the hospital, and in her short life she endured more than a thousand nights in a hospital room, the CBC reported.
Since 2021, Bella and her mom Kayla Thomson have been sharing stories on social media about their struggles with illness, recounting hospitalizations and surgeries. Her TikTok account has nearly 7 million followers. Last year, she underwent a long-awaited intestinal transplant surgery, and in December, actor Ryan Reynolds visited her, which was a big event for Bella and her family.
Kayla Thomson announced on social media that their daughter died July 14 in a medically induced coma at Toronto Children's Hospital.
