Patriarch Kirill was unable to deliver his sermon after the liturgy

Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia was unable to deliver a sermon after the liturgy in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior on June 16. He had problems with his voice.

As the patriarch said, "God limited my voice by the end of the service." The patriarch expressed hope that the faithful would take his infirmity with understanding. He asked them to pray for him.

- May the Lord and the Queen of Heaven protect you all, and extend His powerful Protection over us all," Patriarch Kirill said.

He congratulated the Orthodox on the Day of Commemoration of the Holy Fathers of the First Ecumenical Council.

In addition, he admonished Bishop Theodosius, whom he ordained. He will serve the Alatyr diocese in the Chuvash metropolis.

Patriarch Kirill turned 77 in November 2023. He was elected to the prelacy in January 2009.

Earlier he blamed the West for the extinction of the Kaliningrad region.

The patriarch also said that Russia has become an alternative path of civilizational development, which causes envy among people from developed countries.
