The Civil Aviation Agency of Georgia has issued a permit to Georgian Airways for direct flights to Russia.
As stated in the message of the department, the carrier was issued an appropriate permit. It is noted that Georgian Airways can start operating flights from Tbilisi to Moscow and back from May 20 this year. Planes will fly 7 times a week.
So far, there is no way to book a flight on the company's website.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian company Azimuth received permission for direct flights to Georgia.
Travel agencies suggest that package tours from Russia to Georgia will be on sale by the end of May.
But the EU is dissatisfied with the resumption of direct flights between Moscow and Tbilisi. This was stated by the representative of the EU diplomatic service Peter Stano.
