Prosecutor’s office demands that Navalny’s organizations be declared extremist

The Moscow City Prosecutor's Office has filed a lawsuit to this effect with the Moscow City Court.

The Moscow City Prosecutor's Office has filed a lawsuit with the Moscow City Court demanding that ACF (recognized as a foreign agent in Russia) and the headquarters of oppositionist Alexei Navalny be recognized as extremist organizations. This was reported by TASS, citing the press service of the Moscow prosecutor's office.

On the instructions of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office, the following non-commercial organizations were checked: ACF, the Citizens' Rights Protection Fund (CRPF) and Navalny's HQs.

"Based on the results of the inspection, the Moscow City Prosecutor's Office filed an administrative lawsuit with the Moscow City Court to declare the organizations CRPF, ACF, and Navalny’s HQs extremist," the report said.

According to the Moscow City Prosecutor's Office, the lawsuit against these organizations relates to "the actual carrying out of extremist activities by them".
