Russia resumes flights with Cuba, Japan and Serbia from November 1

From November 1 of this year, Russia plans to restore air traffic with three more countries. Passengers will be able to fly to Cuba, Japan and Serbia.

Flights will depart from Moscow to Belgrade, Cayo Coco and Santa Clara twice a week. Aircraft will fly to the capital of Japan - one flight a week.

In addition, residents of Vladivostok will be able to fly to Japan once a week. From Russia, it is also planned to increase the number of flights to Switzerland, the Maldives, the UAE and Belarus.

The order to resume flights to Japan, Cuba and Serbia was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The decision to restore flights with these countries was made based on the epidemiological situation: over the past two weeks in Cuba, Japan and Serbia, the number of new cases of COVID-19 amounted to 40 people per 100 thousand population. The daily increase was less than 1%, the prevalence rate of the disease per week was less than 1.

From Zurich to Moscow, as well as from the capital of Russia to Geneva, one additional flight per week was added. In early October, the issue of resuming flights from Russia to Cuba, which began to open borders on July 1, was already raised. Since the end of September, Russia has also opened flights to South Korea.
